Before the pandemic hit, I started a “Shelter” series exploring the theme of light and safety amongst darkness and the unknown. I created Hive while sheltering in place and thinking about how we can create connection while apart in our separate shelters. The hummingbird is a symbol of joy, bringing hope to each of these houses clustered together like a bee hive.

Each limited edition print of Hive was created on 100% rag paper with an Epson 9000 series printer, using acid-free substrates and a 10 color UltraChrome HDR archival inkset. The size you select is the measurement of the printed image within a one inch white border. For example: If you select a 9 x 12 print, the paper size will be 11 x 14 inches.
